My goal, using an in-depth approach, is to help create a safe environment where shameful, difficult, and conflicted places inside can be brought out into the light and healed. A new Self-narrative about one’s identity and sense of self in the world can emerge. One’s trauma from the past does not have to define one’s future. I have found that meeting on a regular basis, once or twice a week, for a period of time offers the best possibility for trust, insight, and change to occur.
